in touch @ REALM, ringwood

If these walls could talk.....well they kinda do. In Touch is a art piece like no other - the walls make sound! Completely interactive with in built sounds that create this outstanding exhibition brought together by Glen Walton. As you explore the space, you are invited to touch the paintings and uncover the sounds that are hidden within the artwork and lines. Watch as your little one looks around to find the source of the noise and then touch the lines again to make it happen again, and again! Brush against different lines and compose your own very tune. The illustrator Edwina Atkins has created delightful portraits of local residents of Ringwood and taken stories from the local community to incorporate into the space. You never know who might be depicted on the walls and keep your eye out for the lost teddy!

If you haven't gone to explore REALM at Town Square of Eastland Mamma says, you must go and see this one! In Touch is running for only THREE WEEKS (August 8-28). What's even more exciting, the art piece is an 'Arts Incubator' and like the egg incubator you will find at kinder, the work will transform over time. The workshops proved to be a great success and were BOOKED OUT quickly but now, there will be 2 Family Days running on Sunday 21 August, 10am to 2.30pm and Sunday 28 August 10am to 4pm. This is a free event - with NO BOOKINGS REQUIRED - drop in and out anytime you like!

Mamma's special mention: Have you been to REALM before? If not, make sure you head upstairs and see the kids library corner. It is FANTASTIC!
