Out of the gate and off for a walk, to the local museum for a little gawk. This Mamma is no poet - so we will leave this to the expert - but we certainly do love reading the delightful rhymes and stories of Dame Lynley Dodd. So what a treat it is to have some of the original illustrations from our most favourite books on display at the Yarra Ranges Regional Museum. Taking over the downstairs gallery until the end of January 2020, is The Lynley Dodd Story. Mammas, you will love reading the history of the author and taking a closer look at her beautiful drawings and plans (did you know that Bottomley Potts was originally a Beagle?). While the kids will enjoy to complete colouring in sheets, play memory games, word searches, reading stories and getting nice and close to the cut outs of the hairy guy himself.
Mamma's special mentions: After our visit pop downstairs for babycinos and a coffee at Gracious Grace.
