As soon as you step into this magical place you could be forgiven for thinking you've somehow stumbled into the European countryside - minus the $$$ airfares of course! Mamma has loved this place for many years and the love affair is still gong strong. This Swiss Italian Farm is a sight to behold with its sprawling gardens, old stone buildings, charming cafe and crazy geese roaming the grounds. You can take a wander through the fragrant lavender, play some boules on the pitch, check out the other friendly and delightful animals like chooks and an emu - then sit down for a spot of lunch under the dappled light of the ash trees. Finish up by purchasing some fine goods at the store full of lavender, oils and plenty of other goodies. Keep an eye open for the fantastic festivals that are held here.
Mamma's special mention: If you're in town on a Sunday, make sure you pop into the Daylesford Market for some good old country treasures.
