katena luminarium & yomeciland @ bunjil place, narre warren

It’s HERE! The Plaza at Bunjil Place has been taken over by a GIANT, inflatable and immersive art installation. All the colours you see inside are created from sunlight shining through the plastic and you can wander through tunnels, nooks and caverns, with over 100 catenary curves that are ready to be explored.
The structure is called Katena Luminarium and is very similar to a previous work which took over Federation Square and Mamma explored a couple of years back. This is a fantastic experience and a must see with the whole family - the kids with love it - it is roomy enough not to feel to closed in PLUS you will have time to sit, relax and become reenergised in this unique space. Kids need to be watched - it isn’t your typical inflatable.

Happening at the same time as Katena is another interactive art installation - YomeciLand. This art piece encourages participants to press the big yellow button then use their voices and make sounds into a microphone. Each sound triggers a character on the screen, creating a unique art piece. This experience is FREE and set to be a creative way to let your kids create their own kind of monsters.

Mamma's special mentions: There are always great things happening at Bunjil Place and to know exactly what is on - click here for a list of events and programs, INCLUDING over the school holidays.
Don’t forget to check out the amazing Library whilst you are here!
