Nothing says warm and cosy hospitality than an eclectic mix of furniture, a cupboard full of toys to explore and pinky-finger raising babycinos! The Mabel is beautiful. Restored church furniture and brilliant once-were-bright-orange tables are beautiful. Tim and Nicole have poured a lotta heart and soul into this lovely lady Mabel - it even has it's own font! The hard work and dedication has paid off in this foodie's paradise too - Mamma can't go past a smashed avo with potato rosti and a legume salsa OR devour one of the freshly baked pastries! The galley style cafe has plenty of room for highchairs and the ramp, as well as automatic door makes it kid and pram friendly all at once.
Mamma's special mention: It is tucked in at the Quarry Road set of shops in Mitcham and you may have never been down that road unless you are a real local so check out the map. If you are off for a play after breakfast, check out Halliday Park back up along Mitcham Road or if you are keen on a walk, head to the Eastlink trail back towards Donvale.
