How many of you are thinking about planning your child’s next birthday party? If you are having a get together at home, you might want to keep reading. While visiting the Mount Evelyn Community Toy Library Mamma was inspired by their party packs – yes – you read correctly. The toy library lets you hire a stack of toys for your next children’s party. Toys that you would only ever use once in a full moon, you need a lot of and are too big (and expensive) to buy outright. Mamma's tribe have road tested the giant lego, the sack racing bags, hopscotch, the Fuber Gus tunnel, the monster feet and the most popular one of all the roller coaster. So good – I think our big kids had the most fun of us all. Other equipment on offer include the bubble wands, egg and spoon race, picnic tables, hoppers, school bus and two different inflatables – a jumping castle and a sports stadium! While you’re at it – contact Name Your Event and hire their party letters. They make custom made signs as well as the classics such as the ONE we borrowed for our ‘party!’ The letters are perfect for filling with whatever you like - balloons, flowers – or like Mamma did – ball pit balls. It is a perfect backdrop for all your party pics!
Mamma's special mention: Toy libraries such as Mt Evelyn and Maroondah provide a brilliant service to their community and a run mostly by volunteers. If you haven't been to one yet - Mamma strongly recommends you do!
