I don't know about you, but Mamma's fridge is covered in mini masterpieces. Drawings and paintings galore. Although beautiful and made with love, they are not necessarily ones that could feature above the fireplace. That was of course until ... Jellybean Street Art. This genius business converts your children's finger-paintings into fine art pieces. One hour sessions are held in Greensborough and everything is provided for the little ones to make their mark and get real messy. Karen the facilitator, runs around providing stacks of different tools and implements for brilliant patterns and unique textures. There is heaps of paper and the kids are kept moving, making different pieces and ensuring works are not simply a blob of brown paint in the centre. Once the fun is over and the washing up is done (there will be mess!), you can choose to have your child's work to be sent to graphic artists to be touched up, blown up and printed onto large or small scale canvases. Don't worry about the colours on the day as you can even choose your own colours, ensuring it does suit your lounge room and home!
Mamma's special mention: Once your masterpieces are complete, they can be purchased online, by you or your family or by a member of the art loving public. Every time your child's print is sold, up to 60% of profits will be donated to a children's charity of your choice. There are heaps of examples on the Jellybean Street website, (as well as bub's efforts in the gallery above) and you can even opt to submit artwork from home if you can't attend a workshop.
