Santa has arrived at Eastland and he has made himself at home in the grotto. The cottage draped in mirrors has been installed in the Central Mall, just outside Myer and is utterly charming. It is laced with all the trimmings - a crackling fireplace, gifts under the tree and fairy lights glowing from the ceiling. As you enter there's a table and cards ready to write a postcard to the golly man himself. Everything is perfectly festive and you could almost imagine being in the North Pole itself. Now Mamma was nervous about our Santa encounter this year. Luckily there is plenty of room for Mamma on his chair too (if you need too!) and with all the classic photographer tricks of squeaky toys, bubbles and funny faces to encourage the little ones to look towards the camera you are likely to get a great shot. Mamma couldn't resist this one - Santa and Bubs exchanging first nervous looks!
Mamma's special mentions: You just HAVE to explore the other festive experiences spread throughout the centre. From the Crystal Snow Storm video maker outside Uniqlo, the Sensory Bells, explore the Christmas Glades AND the giant crystallized Christmas tree in Town Square with a nightly light show! But of course you ALSO have to visit Kid's Valley - FREE arts and craft space open everyday from 11am - 4pm. It is going to be safe to say - Eastland is FULL of Christmas magic this year - including elves ready to help wrap all that shopping!
