Prepare to get messy eastsiders. The Messy Shed has JUST opened and your kids are going to LOVE this sensory wonderland!
This purpose built space is the younger sister to the Mornington venue and the team here know how to excite and delight the little learners in your family. The space is set up with different sensory stations and there is a set theme for each week.
Our first visit had us exploring the world of creepy crawlies. There are no rules for the play provided the mess stays roughly where it is supposed to, and let the kids roam free during the session time. The creativity is the most important factor in this place and the kids get to play in any way they wish.
Mamma's 4 year old loved the slime, vertical painting wall, recycle crafting and the water beads. The baby, on the other hand, was busy exploring green spaghetti and pulling pool noodles off the wall. There is so much to experience and so much learning to be had, we are sure to be back! Oh and a hot tip - a change of clothes is always a good idea.
Mamma's special mentions: There are some kid snacks and treats for sale at the shed, but jump two doors down for a coffee at Good Neighbours Cafe. Then afterwards, cruise down the road and explore Leigh Park.
