Keeper Kids are celebrating The National Geographic 50 Greatest Wildlife Photographs, with their own photographic pop-up play zone these school holidays. An inconspicuous photographers ‘den’ has been constructed in one section of Melbourne Zoo’s indoor playspace. The budding junior photographers are invited to don a vest and create their own photographic scenes with some soft toy friends. Then, hidden in the bushes are the cameras, complete with a phone ledge so the kiddos can borrow mum or dad’s phone and snap away at the set ups they have designed.
Once the team have captured their ‘wildlife’ and explored the other great activities to be found at Keeper Kids, head to Carousel Park and see the rest of The National Geographic 50 Greatest Wildlife Photographs exhibit and interact with the augmented reality experience Air, Land & Sea, up on the big screen. They will be patting rhinos, avoiding whale tails and dancing with penguins in no time. Even the little ones will be waving to themselves soon enough.
Mamma’s special mentions: We love a visit to Melbourne Zoo. If you are heading here these holidays, check out the baboons - They have had babies! And also see the latest upgrade - The Carnivores’ Trail!
