Hawthorn is the home to a house of play - or should I say a massive hall of play? This enormous building that once was a church hall, then the Apollo Theatre and a function centre, is now where the local mums and their bubs head to when the weather turns for indoor play. A giant play structure is the biggest feature, but by far the most exciting is the buggie roller-coaster. When the bell rings, the kids know to line up for a ride of the Billy Bugs. Little miss 19 months is too little to ride at the moment - but when she is old enough - she will be first in line! There is a secondary play gym and slide that is more suited to the toddlers, unless of course if you don't lose them to the ball pit, the jumping castle or in the little-tikes cars. Little monsters, super heroes and some animals or two will also be seen running around with the oneies lined up ready to be used. Back by the main entrance is the toddler section with its own mini ball pit and plenty of toys and cubbies to explore. The cafe options are brilliant and Mamma recommends the chicken bagel for your next mid morning visit.
Mamma's special mention: Mid-week classes are included with the cost of entry and have a great variety - arts and craft, yoga, music and fitness. Mamma and bubs checked out the music class on the Wednesday - Rhythm Rumble and had a smashing time! Also just be wary - parking is tight with limited on-site spots.
