wally tew reserve, ferntree gully

The ants go marching one-by-one - Harrah! Harrah! That is what you will be humming to yourself as you enter this forest-floor inspired playspace. This recently updated park, Wally Tew in Ferntree Gully is teaming with buggy goodness, from the leaves that shelter the wooden play frame, to the birds nest slide and then the giant bug like climbing structure. There are hidden treasures all around the space with noise makers, sand slides, a giant flying fox, a huge birds nest swing and a sand digger. The meeting of the soft wooden materials and harsh metal structures is at its perfect balance, almost as nature and man have come together in the one place. The sand pit is huge and is Mamma's favourite. The playspace is fully fenced so Mamma can relax and is accessible for all abilities, including a Liberty Swing.

Mamma's special mentions:  Bike tracks run alongside the playground and the Ferntree Gully Library is literally a stones throw away. Story Times runs for Tiny tots on Tuesdays 1pm, Toddlers on Wednesdays 11am and Preschoolers have the most variety with Tuesdays and Thursdays 11am or Wednesdays at 2pm.
