olinda playscape, olinda

Hooray! This is exactly what the Dandenongs needed. A regional sized playground with some of the most amazing features. The playspace is massive with heaps to explore, including plenty of natural elements and retaining the beautiful trees in the area. There is a huge sandpit at one end, complete with water pumps and balancing beams. These also feed down a dry creek bed, under a bridge with hidden bugs, to the huge frog below. At the opposite end you will find the slides, flying foxes, rope courses and a simply STUNNING view of Silvan Dam.

Following the path back up to the entrance and past the triple trampolines, you will discover the toddler cubbies that sit beautifully with their toadstool buddies. There is so much beautiful artwork to discover all throughout the entire space. See how many different animals you can find. The playground has heaps to entertain the whole family and the shelter in the middle gives you a wonderful vantage spot of the entire area - great for when you are supervising a group or having a rest with a cuppa. Speaking of, Oscar Vintage Coffee Van will regularly (normally Wednesday - Sunday but check the Instagram page HERE to be sure) be set up at the entrance of the park which makes this experience even better.

Mamma's special mention: Olinda is a beautiful part of the Dandenong Ranges. The playspace is a short walk from The Dandenong Ranges Botanic Garden. Just beautiful!
