It might be school holidays in our town but that is not stopping The School at Eastland from running. And this school is unlike any that Mamma has ever seen before - made entirely from cardboard tubes and located under the brilliant skylight in the middle of the shopping centre. The School is the creation of Megan Morton, a world class stylist who has travelled the world with this wonderful concept, designed to spark the creativity in young minds. Running two sessions a day over the two weeks of the school holidays, children will be offered a range of different classes from creating alphabet art, cactus gardens (the plush variety), band practice and Mamma's favourite idea - photography 101. Each session is facilitated by an expert in their creative field, including Megan's own daughter Millie, who helped guide bubs through a botanical drawing session yesterday.
Mamma's special mention: You must book in (and quickly) as there are limited spots in each session. Children must be accompanied by an adult and best suited to primary aged children.
