food gallery @ the glen, glen waverley

The Glen is undergoing a real transformation and lucky for the ones that love a good feed, the foodie end is open and ready for visitors! Mamma grabbed the kids and checked out the Food Gallery last week and was suitably impressed.

The food courts of our childhoods will be soon forgotten as this new style of fancy tables and chairs, great choices on offer and the most incredible views of the east will soon become the norm. We chose to sit by the incredible view, where we could tuck ourselves into a corner, containing the preschooler, whilst the world driving by provided great entertainment.

'Food galleries' with kids are pretty handy as everyone can choose what they want OR you can just get a mix and let everyone dig in! The little one wanted the sushi whereas Mamma was keen on giving Huxtaburger's the very first HuxaGo a ... well... GO! This hole in the wall version serving the hatted Huxtable burgers are delicious and have some of the BEST names going around. You really cannot say no to Britney!

Although the food comes out pretty fast, there aren't any of your typical commercial choices (no big yellow M or buckets of chicken in sight) and there are heaps of options to choose from. Next time, we are either jumping on the sushi train OR testing out Chinta Ria Soul for modern Malaysian OR maybe D’Elephant Thai. So many choices, so little room in my tummy!

Mamma's special mention: Now that the food has been taken care of with the Market Hall and now the Food Gallery, what is next for The Glen? Fashion and Lifestyle! The little one was itching to get a closer look.
