Burger up! Mamma noticed that there was lots of love for The BBQ Joint in Croydon South, so we thought it was only fair we tried out it's big brother over the road The Local Burger Co. Well alright if I have to! But really, it is awesome! Burgers stacked so high they stab a knife in them to stop them toppling over. The patties are cooked to order and are the best kind of drip-down-you-hand-juicy goodness. There are over a dozen burgers to choose from and the most amazing sweet potato fries. Plus the drinks fridge is jam packed with an amazing selection of American sodas, even ones Mamma has never seen before. Or if you prefer a milkshake with your burger, try the apple cinnamon! There is a simple kids menu - a chicken or a beef burger but both come with chips and a juice box. Oh and good thinking team - the menu is an activity and colouring book. They proudly display the burger designs from their youngest customers too - maybe that is where they are getting the brilliant recipes! The venue is small, seating probably 20 so get in early as apparently it gets CRAZY BUSY especially on Friday and Saturday nights. The biggest trade has to be in take away - the phone never stopped while we were there!
Mamma's special mention: Tuesday night meals are the cheapest so drop in then if you are keen on a bargain and as mentioned, literally right over the road is The BBQ Joint. A must if you love your smokey, American style BBQ!
