Will you meet me down the rabbit hole next time we do lunch? With a menu like this - FOR SURE! Down The Rabbit Hole is a new addition to the Templestowe foodie scene and a little off the beaten track, unless you are one to cut around the back of Reynolds Road like this Mamma. Nestled in the little strip of shops called Newmans Local Centre is this beautiful cafe with a touch of Alice in Wonderland mixed in. Food is top shelf stuff with plenty of options not traditionally found on your standard cafe menu - including the cheeky bronuts, orange and dandelion soda and the signature Maxijohn - lemon and blueberry semifreddo sandwiched in between gingerbread waffles! The kids menu is a great mix of treats and wholesome with nothing over $9. The space is roomy, clean and fresh. The wooden details are gorgeous and no - you don't HAVE to wear stripes to fit in - although it might help! The courtyard out the back is fully enclosed apart from the staircase leading up. Perfect on a beautiful clear day.
Mamma's special mention: If you are keen on more adventures nearby you can always explore Manna Gum Playspace if you are heading back towards Warrandyte OR head to the brilliant Wombat Bend if you are heading in the city direction.
